RCO 07 – Research organisations participating in joint research projects
This indicator is only possible to choose within specific objective 1.1.
The 2029 target value for the Aurora programme is that 40 research organisations have been participating in joint research projects.
Count the number of research organisations cooperating as partners with project budget. It should be clear how the research organisations will be involved during the implementation.
Examples of research organisations are universities, research institutes, technology transfer agencies, innovation intermediaries, research-oriented or virtual collaborative entities, and they can be public or private.
RCO 10 – Enterprises cooperating with research organisations

The 2029 target value for the Aurora programme is that 13 applications have been submitted to EU programmes.
Count the number of project applications submitted to European research programmes (such as Horizon Europe or similar programmes) during the implementation of the Interreg Aurora project. An application does not have to involve all project partners but shall be based on the activities and the results of the Interreg Aurora project. This means you cannot count applications to Interreg programmes as part of the estimated outcome. As an applicant, you should know at an early stage which programme(s) and calls you may be interested in applying to and should state this clearly in the Aurora application.
RCO 83 – Strategies and action plans jointly developed
This indicator is possible to choose within specific objective 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 4.1

Count the number of joint strategies or action plans developed by your project. A strategy aims at establishing a targeted way to achieve a goal oriented process in a specific domain. An action plan translates an existing strategy into actions. The differences between an action plan and a strategy are that the action plan is more detailed and shows the steps/actions needed to achieve short-term goals. A strategy is broader and is more focused on the long-term goals and the overall directions. As an applicant, you should be able to describe in the application what jointly developed action plans and/or strategies you intend to do during the implementation of your project.
RCO 84 – Pilot actions developed jointly and implemented in projects
This indicator is possible to choose within specific objective 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.1 and 3.2

The scope of a jointly developed pilot action could be to test procedures, new instruments, tools, experimentation or the transfer of practices. A pilot action is an activity that is carried out during the project period with the aim of testing new approaches. The pilot action(s) that are carried out during the project implementation should lead to new knowledge and related solutions. As an applicant, you should be able to describe in the application what you count as pilot actions and how you came up with the target value.
