On 12–13 November 2025, the Interreg Aurora funded project Arctic Music Circles and the concept Arctic Pulse gathered around 70 cultural producers, organisers and sector professionals from northern Sweden, Norway and Finland for the second edition of the Arctic Pulse Producers Network. The meeting took place in Kiruna and focused on strengthening cross-border collaboration within the Arctic music and cultural scene.
The two-day programme included thematic workshops where participants developed concrete cross-border collaboration concepts, aiming to establish long-term working groups that continue beyond the event. A panel discussion, held in partnership with North Creative Nodes and Creative Europe, provided insights into international funding mechanisms and the upcoming European Capitals of Culture in the region.
As part of the cultural programme, participants attended the Sweden premiere of SÁMIS, a Sámi documentary presented in collaboration with Arctic Light Film Festival. The screening was followed by a Q&A session with filmmaker Roman Jehanno, offering valuable perspectives on Sámi culture, minority languages and artistic expression in Sápmi and the wider Arctic region.
The meeting concluded with a unique concert featuring Movits! and Norrbotten Big Band inside an industrial venue in Kiruna – a pilot linked to the city’s upcoming cultural capital initiative 100 Stages for Kiruna 2029.
The Producers Network plays an important role within Arctic Pulse, creating a platform for cultural actors across the Nordics to meet, exchange knowledge and jointly explore future collaboration models. Several working groups will continue their development digitally before the next Producers Network meeting, which will take place in Oulu on 26–27 February 2026.
