Partner search: Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK), Finland, is seeking Swedish and Norwegian partners for a cross-border project bringing practical XR (VR/AR/WebXR) into the day-to-day of manufacturing SMEs across Finland, Sweden and Norway.
Project idea in short
We will run an XR Tech Tour, which includes multi-partner interactive showroom with VR headset loaners. The idea is to send use-ready VR headsets to companies and possibility to have project facilitator along the headsets. Most interested companies get Clinic (60-minute needs scan per company), and Planning demos (CAD→Simulation→XR) built on reference manufacturing technology cells with a vendor-agnostic content pipeline. In the project, we will also host synchronized FI–SE–NO showcase days with joint Q&A. These actions are designed to reduce travel emissions while delivering high-fidelity technology demos.
Why it matters: lower travel emissions per tour, accurate high‑fidelity showcases via reference digital twins, and shared cross‑border learning days for SMEs.

About the applicant (lead)
Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK), Finland — applied RDI with strong ties to manufacturing SMEs, digitalisation and hands‑on technology transfer. We contribute project management, SME networks in South Ostrobothnia, and facilities for prototyping, XR evaluation and training.
