Would you like to practice Kven language? Join the Kven Language Café, where you can use the language in everyday situations and strengthen your skills together with others!
The café is suitable for anyone who wants to learn, maintain, or revive their Kven language skills – whether you’re a beginner or more advanced. Come chat, learn, and enjoy a language that is part of our shared cultural heritage.
No registration needed – just show up and learn about one of the minority languages spoken in the Northern Calotte region!

Kven language café is hosted by the Kven Language Center in Alta, in collaboration with project partners Oulu University of Applied Sciences and Sverigefinska folkhögskolan. The Roots and Future project is funded by Interreg Aurora and the Regional Council of Lapland.
