Bothnia Business Heritage FINAL SEMINAR 20 August 2025 in Jakobstad and online

The Bothnia Business Heritage project, funded by Interreg Aurora, commenced in January 2023 and is set to conclude in August 2025. Over its two-and-a-half-year duration, the project has aimed to strengthen the connection between cultural heritage and modern businesses in the Gulf of Bothnia region. Through the establishment of the Bothnia Business Heritage Network, the project has facilitated collaboration between cultural heritage actors and businesses, fostering the development of new services and products that bridge the past and present.

As the project nears its conclusion, the team is preparing to showcase the outcomes and insights gained throughout this period. The project warmly welcome you to the final seminar.

In the seminar you can experience a thought-provoking keynote by Anssi Tuulenmäki, Director of the Museum of Technology in Helsinki, who will inspire you to think differently, create real value, and turn bold ideas into action!

In addition to Anssi’s inspiring keynote, you will get key insights from the Bothnia Business Heritage project and explore what lies ahead for the growing Bothnia Business Heritage Network. You will also gain inspiring insights from both cultural heritage professionals and businesses, showing how exciting collaborations can take shape and what expectations are driving them forward.

And last but not least: discover the fascinating story of the unique Esseharpan instrument and enjoy a live performance by Tallari — one of Finland’s most versatile and deeply rooted professional folk music ensembles.
