The objective of the Interreg Aurora funded project Nordic CrossCap is to strengthen cross-border cooperation and develop a shared knowledge base to assess motivations and conditions for railway connectivity between Västerbotten and Helgeland along the E12 corridor. The project will bring together municipalities, regional development organisations and relevant stakeholders to exchange knowledge on logistics needs, industrial demand and broader developments affecting the corridor.

By compiling existing studies and facilitating cross-border dialogue, the project will identify key drivers for the potential development of railway connectivity between Storuman and Mo i Rana. The results will be consolidated into a shared knowledge base outlining possible development pathways and supporting continued cooperation and the preparation of a future Interreg Regular project.
