IMPROVING THE BIOGAS CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Boost Nordic Biogas

The project Boost Nordic Biogas focuses on reducing the distance between research and production and highlight solutions to challenges in the biogas sector. The aim is to identify challenges for biogas producers and discover solutions through applicable research, new technologies, networks and exchanges of experience. The project goal is to improve the economic viability of biogas production, increase efficiency and facilitate new plants.

The project reaches out to biogas producers and other entrepreneurs who want to exchange experiences and contribute to development and innovation in the biogas sector in the northern parts of Sweden, Finland, and Norway. Examples of end customers are farmers, municipalities, and the public as well as trade associations, decision-makers and financiers.

The current global situation with climate catastrophes and the war in Ukraine requires increased self-sufficiency through the production of renewable energy and fertilizers. By changing methods of production, it is possible to ensure local, sustainable, and circular development. Boost Nordic Biogas is based on results from the Interreg Botnia-Atlantica project Bothnia Nutrient Recycling.
