Welcome to the Conservation-oriented building repair -webinar on Tuesday 24 March 17:00-18:00 (Finnish time).
In this webinar, you will receive practical, hands-on information on how old fishing-related buildings can be repaired and maintained while respecting their cultural value. The examples are drawn from the fishing sites and building stock at Kukkola Rapids and Matkakoski in Tornio. The lessons can be applied to other similar environments as well.
The expert speaker is the building conservation specialist from the Museum of Tornio Valley. The webinar will also introduce a new set of repair guidelines specifically developed for fish sheds.
