Partner search: Impact Crater Lake Lappajärvi UNESCO Global Geopark is searching for project partners for a project in April 2026 – December 2028.
At present, UNESCO sites operate in a rather fragmented way around their own themes. For example, Worl Heritage Sites, and Geoparks function separately, without shared activities or a common agenda. Through the project, concrete cooperation will be initiated to increase the level of synergy and to build concrete networking possibilities. In concrete level, this means conceptualizing and creating UNESCO-level sustainable travel packages. For example, Geopark can co-operate with World Heritage Site to increase sustainable tourism attraction sites. As a result, cultural heritage is carried into the present day, enhancing regional vitality and fostering cooperation across areas, also internationally.
