NORDSKILLS project team met for their project kick-off meeting at the picturesque locality of MALAX boat museum from 2.-4.11.2025. During this first two days of in-person meetings of all project partners upcoming project activities were planned in detail, the methodological framework for pedagogical monitoring and assessment was discussed, potential bottlenecks analysed, and a framework and timeline was established for internal and target group communication and engagement.
Taking place in Malax, a small municipality at the Finnish western coast and one of the focus localities of the project’s activities, the meeting already included active engagement and discussion with local stakeholders and target groups. It included a meeting and discussion on NORDSKILLS activities with Malax head of municipality, Jenny Malmsten, who welcomed the project’s engagement with environmental education of the local youth, and a visit to Malax outdoor kindergarten including knowledge exchange with the teachers to learn about the state of play in local nature-based education for the youngest.
Additionally, during the meeting the NORDSKILLS team conducted an SDG workshop, jointly assessing the project’s activities key contribution to the same. The result of the latter is displayed by the SDG pyramid displayed on the project website.
