The exhibition presents the UNESCO nomination Torne River Dipnet Fishing – living heritage across the Swedish-Finnish border, which was submitted to Paris last March for inclusion on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. A decision on the inscription is expected in December 2026.
The study room is located within the museum’s permanent exhibition and features photographs, a documentary film, and consent letters from the community. The application texts can be read in a booklet available for purchase at the museum shop, as well as in a browsing copy on display in the exhibition.
The exhibition will remain open until spring 2026 — welcome!
