Arctic Pulse is once again bringing a packed programme to the Restaurant Stage at Kulturens Hus during Kulturnatten in Luleå – following the great success of last year’s event, which received excellent feedback from audiences. Many visitors expressed their appreciation for experiencing high-quality music from our Arctic regions in Finland and Norway – performances they would not normally have access to in Luleå. Arctic Pulse is a part of the Interreg Aurora funded project Arctic Music Circles.
The positive response also led to new collaborations: the producer of LKAB Big Band, who attended last year’s event, was so impressed that they asked to perform on our stage this year.
This year’s programme offers six unique concert experiences from Norway and Finland, with a warm-up by Luleå’s own Folk and World Music Ensemble Buller & Bång. Spanning genres from jazz and folk to pop, rock, and big band, the event runs from afternoon until late at night – with every act offering something unique.
Programme – Restaurant Stage, Kulturens Hus:
15:15 – Buller & Bång (SE) – Warm-up
16:00 – Hot Club de Jakobstad (FI)
17:15 – Bag of Music (FI)
18:30 – Hjord (FI)
19:45 – Valkea (FI)
21:15 – Lisa Stokke & LKAB Big Band (NO) – ABBA Tribute
22:45 – New Bloom (FI)
By participating in Kulturnatten – one of Luleå’s largest annual cultural festivals – Arctic Pulse can:
- Promote Arctic and Indigenous music by showcasing artists and traditions that are often underrepresented.
- Build cross-border networks by bringing together artists and cultural actors from Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
- Maximise resource efficiency by using the festival’s existing marketing channels and infrastructure.
- Increase brand awareness through strong on-site visibility and digital marketing before, during, and after the event.
An aftermovie will be produced and shared on Arctic Pulse’s digital platforms to extend the reach and document the project’s work.
