Developing and preserving the cultural heritage of St Olav Ways

Heritage in Motion

The Interreg Aurora funded project Heritage in Motion will develope the St. Olav Trail, a historical pilgrimage route that is the northernmost pilgrim trail in the world.

The project aims to establish a certified St. Olav Trail connecting Finland, Sweden, and Norway through a new route between Umeå and Selånger. It strengthens cross-border cooperation and accessibility to the Nordic cultural heritage while promoting sustainable cultural tourism, supporting small businesses, and stimulating regional collaboration.
