DIGITALISATION ROOTED IN RURAL LOCALITIES

Cross border rural digital policy

The Interreg Aurora funded project Cross border rural digital policy aims to start an applied research cluster for rural digital transformation, a digitalisation of rural society in Europe. The first step in forming this cluster will be addressing the needs of a science-based local digital policy with an action plan for Muodoslompolo and Muonio using a Living Labs approach.

The village of Muodoslompolo in Sweden and the town of Muonio in Finland are located nearby each other on each side of the border, and want to form a joint rural digital policy, with support from the universities.
