11 new smale-scale projects approved by the Interreg Aurora Programme

Great ideas know no borders – Interreg Aurora funds 11 new small-scale projects

The Interreg Aurora Steering Committees, Sápmi and Aurora have approved 11 new small-scale projects in March 2024. The projects will cooperate across borders in developing:

  • Tiny homes – project partners are Lapin ammattikorkeakoulu Oy, LTU Business AB and Pohjois-Suomen rakennusklusteri ry
  • Exploring Cross-Border Collaboration for Sustainable Entrepreneurship – project partners are Uminova eXpression AB, Vaasan ammattikorkeakoulu and Piteå Science Park AB
  • ForestEcoSecurity – project partners are Luonnonvarakeskus and Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet
  • Power line monitoring for increased resilience – project partners are Luleå tekniska universitet, Åsele Kraftaktiebolag, Länsstyrelsen i Västerbottens län, Region Västerbotten, i.b. vogt AB and Lapin ammattikorkeakoulu Oy
  • Sami Handicraft Academy (Sámi duodjeakademiija) – project partners are Sámediggi and Samediggi, the Norwegian and Finnish Sami Parliaments
  • Cultural Platform Kvarken – project partner is Kvarkenrådet EGTS
  • Kvarken Film Network – projects partners are Kvarkenrådet EGTS, Svenska Österbottens förbund för utbildning och kultur, Yrkeshögskolan vid Åbo Akademi and Region Västerbotten
  • Legal Terminology of Administrative Laws in the Northern Sámi in Finland and Norway – project partners are Sámediggi/the Finnish Sami Parliament and Samisk nærings- og utredningssenter AS
  • Borderless, secure and vibrant North – project partners are Tornedalsrådet and Tunturi-Lapin Kehitys
  • Kvarken unicollab – project partner is Kvarkenrådet EGTS
  • Innovation in urban planning – project partners are Härnösands kommun, Åbo akademi and Nykarleby stad
