The Saami Council has launched the Dájdakodisilla, a report about current border barriers for the Sámi cultural field. Dájdakodisilla is Julevsámi/Lule Sámi language and means art codicil. The report builds on the experiences and needs of the Sámi art and cultural field, and contains concrete recommendations and priorities for the Nordic states and Sámi Parliaments.
The report is launched as part of the Interreg Aurora funded project ReCap ASáp: Regaining capacity in a changing Sápmi, which aims to improve the knowledge base and promote inclusion in decisions affecting the Sámi people. As part of this, the project has brought together knowledge carriers and experts in six different Knowledge Bases. One of these has looked at border barriers for the cultural field in Sápmi.
