Field work in Kallojoki

Field work in Our Precious Transboundary Waters project

The project partner Luke carried out field work in August 2024 in river Gallojohka, a Norwegian tributary to River Neiden.

Field work for mapping Atlantic salmon habitat and distribution area and collection of genetic samples in the Gallojohka tributary, which is one remaining tributary without joint spawning target in the River Neiden system.

This information will be used in the joint assessment of the spawning target for this tributary, which will complete the assessment for the Neiden river system.
