Lantbruksresa till Finland

Agricultural Study Trip to Finland 19-20 August 2026

The Rewater, Greppa Näringen, and MASSIW projects are jointly organising a study trip to Ostrobothnia for Swedish drainage contractors and farmers. Are you a Finnish farmer interested in joining the tour and exchanging experiences with Swedish colleagues? If so, please contact Heidi Smart at the South Ostrobothnia Vitality Centre, who will be happy to provide more information about arrangements for participants from Finland.

During the study trip, participants will learn about:

  •  Subsurface drainage in practice, controlled drainage, and subirrigation
  •  Cereal and vegetable production
  •  A modern grain drying facility
  •  Farm-scale biogas production

Throughout the trip, you will have the opportunity to meet our guests from Sweden, farmers and agricultural contractors from Ostrobothnia, as well as experts from the Finnish Drainage Association, ProAgria Rural Advisory Services, and the Vitality Centres in Ostrobothnia and South Ostrobothnia.

The projects are primarily funded by the Swedish Rural Development Programme (Greppa Näringen) and Interreg Aurora (Rewater and MASSIW). The main language of the study tour is Swedish.
