The Interreg Aurora funded project SAIUX – Secure AI User Experience addresses shared territorial challenges in Northern Finland and Northern Sweden, where rapidly evolving digital threats, increased AI adoption and stringent regulatory demands require coordinated, crossborder action. By integrating AI security, Zero Trust and Secure UX, the project develops usable, resilient and compliant solutions tailored to Arctic digital services. Through joint pilots and knowledge exchange, SMEs gain access to expertise, validation environments and tools that enhance their innovation capacity and regulatory readiness. The project contributes to ecological sustainability through resource efficient AI security methods, to social sustainability through inclusive and privacy preserving Secure UX, and to economic sustainability by strengthening SME competitiveness in the European market for trustworthy AI.
The project produces jointly validated prototypes, testing methodologies and a sustainable crossborder collaboration model. These outcomes create lasting capacity for secure AI-based innovation and position the Aurora region as a recognised environment for resilient, trustworthy and sustainable digital transformation. Additionally, this project will foster long-term collaboration between universities and strengthening regional capabilities and R&D impact among SMEs.
