Aurora Reel Accelerator is a three-year cross-border project that strengthens the cultural and creative industries in the Aurora programme area through Virtual Production (VP). The project addresses a lack of shared infrastructure, expertise and collaboration opportunities that currently limit innovation and competitiveness in the audiovisual sector.
The Interreg Aurora funded project is led by Novia University of Applied Sciences and Creative Crowd, the project combines filmmaking, game development and emerging technologies through the Reel Jam model, where creative teams rapidly develop concepts into market-ready trailers and proof-of-concept productions. Shared VP infrastructure and open learning activities, including workshops, webinars and demonstrations, will provide filmmakers, students, creative professionals and SMEs with access to advanced technology and new skills.
The project aims to increase innovation capacity, strengthen cross-border collaboration and create long-term sustainable growth within the audiovisual and creative sectors. Project results will be published through the project website, social media channels, public events, workshops and international industry showcases.
Target groups include filmmakers, production companies, creative professionals, students, educators, SMEs and organisations operating within the cultural and creative industries across the Aurora region.
